Jen Stock is a critically acclaimed jewelry designer known for spiritually inspired jewelry, all of which is handmade and weaves together elements from around the world with symbolic pieces that represent the balance between mind, body, and soul. Jen’s pieces are inspired by her practice of yoga. All of her original designs can be found on her namesake website: www.jenstock.com.
For over 30 years, Jen Stock has taken what she practices on the mat for inspiration to create her pieces. Each piece of jewelry is a symbol to be mindful in your day-to-day activities and to be aware of others and conscious of what you put out into the universe for your own well being.
Her designs are vegan (excludes leather, pearls or silk) and all elements are ethically sourced. Jen pays fair market value for any labor and seeks to employ women and within the LGBT Community. This was a natural, obvious direction for Jen as her mother worked as a Special Education teacher and her maternal Grandmother, a college graduate, worked as a legal secretary. She is instinctively led by the examples she saw growing up.
Jen began designing her namesake jewelry line as an expression of her fashion sense, turning to her passion for yoga and studies in Anthropology for inspiration. Starting her Yoga practice in January 1989 at The Y on 47th Street, NYC, she then made herself a mala as a reminder of the work she was doing on the mat. Jen still infuses this principle into each piece she designs, thus calling it Mindful Jewelry. Each piece should serve the owner as a cue, to do what they need to: breathe, smile, stretch, be nice or whatever they need!
Jen designs jewelry that is wearable and fashionable while embodying distinctly spiritual elements for both men and women. With a penchant for fashion and style coupled with a strong intuition, Jen Stock’s Mindful Jewelry established a unique look and feel, reflective of her distinctive taste and philosophy. With these designs, Jen hopes to provide not only an authentic fashion staple but a powerful spiritual influence, as well.
